Trip to the Zoo

So KJ was very excited to go to the Zoo. He wanted to see the Tigers and Snakes more than anything else. Unfortunately Daddy doesn't do snakes and i wouldn't let him go into the snake place all by himself so i tried to distract him with other things like the train which we rode 3 times. The tiger exhibit was closed as well so he didn't get to see either of the things that he really wanted to but we made sure to see everything else and he loved it. We had so much fun looking at all of the animals and playing with all of the different fun things that they have to look at.

ELEPHANTS! I think we went back to see what they were doing 3 or 4 times because KJ loved them so much.

Otters. there were so many different places to look at them. You could be outside and look at them from above or like we did here you can go inside and look at them through the windows. It was really cool because they kept swimming right by KJ. They would go away and then come right back. He was so happy.

The tigers weren't there but the statues were so he played with them for a few minutes.

He loved getting a drink from the lions mouth. He wanted to do it all by himself and then he would tell me that the lion was going to eat him. haha

He wanted to play with the water and push the ball. He had a lot of fun with the "big kids"

We almost made it out without buying anything and then someone walked out of the gift shop and he saw the alligator and wanted one. Since he was so good and because we didn't get to look at the only things he wanted to look at, i broke down and got it for him. He loves walking around the house scaring people with his Alligator and he always asks me what the Alligator says. He's so cute!

Nap time! The Zoo will wear you out.

Family Pictures

Im not sure you can really call these "Family" pictures because it's just the two of us but it was so fun to be able to go and take pictures together. KJ has such a sweet personality and is always so happy i feel like we should be taking pictures of him all the time. I'm very grateful to have this little guy and even though he has been through more than any 2 year old should he just keeps going and going. I'll never be able to express the love that i have for him in words, but i hope he knows how much he is loved.

September and first part of October

This kid loves walking around the arcade and trying to play every game over and over. He will tell me that he just wants to see something and then he will start to climd on things and try to play. He just wants to have fun and who could blame him?!

We pre-ordered Planes Fire and Rescue and he was so excited for the lithographs that come with it. We had to sit down in Deseret book and look at them for a little while.

He loves Titan and every once in awhile he will ask me to take pictures of them. Titan has been sick for awhile now so you never know when the last picture will be, not sure KJ understands that but I will always take them when he asks.

Classic boy. He loves playing in the dirt with his tractors and dump trucks. If he could be outside all day doing this he would.

Florida played Alabama and we just wanted to show KJ's Mommy where his loyalties are. We may have lost this one but I'm pretty sure we're both winners for sticking together.

Pre haircut picture. This kid's hair grows so fast so we have to get it cut all the time.

Post haircut. He loves going because he gets to sit in a plane or a truck and at the end he goes down the slide and gets a balloon and a sucker. KJ loves going to get his haircut and will often ask if we can go even when he doesn't need one.

More arcade games. He loves shooting the bad guys.

We had a lazy morning. I love those days because we just lounge around in our PJ's and watch movies or shows.

I think he knows how much i hate feet and hate might even be and understatement but it doesn't keep him from sticking them in my face anyway.

Every so often i will lay down with him before he goes to bed and tonight he asked if he could lay on my tummy. He is just so sweet and loving and it took me back to when he was just a baby.

Working on our numbers together. We practiced them in English and in Spanish. He loves counting.

check this kid out! So respectful of the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance at the football game.

Taking pictures with VIC the Bulldog at the "touchdown game"

I think he is ready to be a football player. He always asks to go down onto the field and he loved laying down on the BIG Bulldog

Silly faces together.

Taking pictures with Kayla and Kenzie. KJ loves these two girls and is always so shy around them because he thinks they are cute. He will ask to go see them but then burry his face in his hands and wont talk to them. They are so cute with him though.

Catch Up...

So obviously it's been over a month since i've done anything with this but i'm going to try to catch up. KJ is growing up so fast and has in own little personality. He loves playing with his toys, especially trucks. He has found a new love for trucks and tractors and loves playing with them in the dirt. He loves to give me a hard time about things but is so sweet when he does it. Sometimes when i ask him to do something he will look at me and with the sweetest little face he will say "are you kidding me Daddy?" I laugh every time. He is learning things so quickly and picks up on everything that is going on. He is quick to apologize for anything and everything, even when he hasn't done anything wrong but some sort of accident happened. He is so loving and caring and is always worried about other people. We saw someone digging in the trash the other day at McDonalds and KJ asked what he was doing, when i told him that he was probably hungry and was looking for food he asked me if we could buy him Dinner. He obviously doesn't understand fully but he knows that when someone is hungry they should eat dinner so we bought him some food. KJ is such a good example to me even though he is so young i still look up to him.

Playing at 7 peaks with Cousin Sav and of course his doggy

KJ found some gloves in Uncle S's room. He put them on and came out and said "Look Daddy! I'm a Doctor!" He really wants to be a doctor.

KJ loves going to Church every week. He begs all week to go to nursery. He loves singing and praying and of course coloring and playing with the toys. It makes me happy because he asks to go to Church and i'm willing to bet that there aren't very many 2 1/2 year olds that beg to go to Church.

Every time i go to pick him up from nursery he is always so excited to show me what he made for me. This time is was an "I love my family" hat. He wanted to wear it all day.

We were just building a garage with Lincoln Logs.

This is part of the reason i took a little break. I got my tonsils taken out last month and was in bed for a couple of weeks. It was hard not to have KJ around but his Mommy and Nana brought him to visit which made it so much better. Not sure what i would have done if they weren't so willing to drive so far.

He loves going to Thanksgiving Point and riding the Ponies

This was right after my surgery and he was so excited to tell me what he had been up to. He is the best!

Giving his Doggies some love. They are so cute he says and he loves them.

Doing some coloring before bed.

Making silly faces

KJ really wanted to lay in my bed and watch Frozen before his nap, he didn't make it long before passing out.

We had to dig up Grandma and Grandpa's lawn because a pipe broke. Everyone was sad about all the work and losing part of the lawn but KJ was in heaven because he got to play on a tractor!

KJ got really sick and threw up all over his bed, the floor, and his Daddy :( I took this picture of us sitting on the couch around 3am watching 101 Dalmatians. We didn't get much sleep that night.

Eating a banana and climbing on Daddy's back

Took a trip to the park to feed the duckies. It was so much fun and it was very difficult to get him to leave

After feeding the duckies we played with his tractors in the dirt.

After the playing in the dirt we playing on the swings.

KJ got his very own Ipad. He was very excited to go to the Apple Store and pick it out all on his own. Yes...he is spoiled.

KJ, Mommy and I went to the State Fair and he was in heaven. He loved seeing all the animals and he loved going on all of the rides. Junk food, animals, rides...what could be better?!

He's all ready for Football Season! Go Gators! Go, go, go Gators! He was walking around saying that over and over and when i told him he needed to take his jersey off for bed he wasn't very happy.
