April 12th

Rio 2 came out this week so we decided to take KJ to see it today because he loved the first one so much. He loved it and asks every day to go see it again.

Today was Cousin Sav's birthday party and it was such good weather we celebrated outside.

KJ wanted to ride the mower but i told him that he would have to wait until he was at Nana and Pop pop's house in Georgia so he decided that he would just practice. I think he was "driving" it for a good 15 mins before i was finally able to talk him into getting off.

KJ was so excited that there was a trampoline that he could play on. He jumped and jumped.

Sav's Princess cake.

Giving cousin a love before we went home. They are best friends and so cute to each other.

Finished the night teaching Cousin how to swim in the bathtub.

April 11th

KJ was so excited today to play outside and with the weather so warm he got to wear his basketball clothes. This was the first time he has worn his basketball shorts and when i was putting them on him he said "match Daddy's shorts!" it makes me so happy that he wants to be like me.

We mowed the lawn today and using his own lawn mower wasn't good enough for him, he had to help me with the "big mower" He was a very big help though, he even helped me carry the bag of grass over to dump it. He's trying to grow up way too fast.

KJ likes us to sit in the room in the rocking chair until he falls asleep so i took this picture before i left his room. He likes to has his cars and planes sleep with him but i wont let him actually hold them so we compromised and we put them on the side of the bed. He always sleeps better when he can have a couple of his favorite toys sleep next to him.

After his nap he put his shorts on all by himself and he was so excited that he was able to do it without any help. After he got dressed we went outside and helped Grandpa build some stuff. He loved playing in the saw dust after Grandpa finished cutting the wood. KJ of course wanted to use the wood as a bridge for his cars. It was a lot of fun.

We went to dinner and the mall with Cousin Sav today and played at the play place for a little while. KJ took a big fall from the top of the slide though and started bleeding from his nose and his lip so we cut our trip short. Poor guy was so brave but he had a few bruises and cuts to show everyone.

Today was Cousin Sav's birthday so she got this cool Minnie Mouse toy and carpet that she and KJ got to play with

And of course to end the night we went outside and did bubbles.

April 10th

This kid loves to dance. We finished watching NEMO and he looked at me with those big, bright blue eyes and said "Dance Daddy, Dance!!!"

Dancing!

We got the lawnmower our again today and he mowed the lawn again while holding his baseball. I told him when he found the baseball inside the house that he could only throw it outside so he was so excited about going outside today so he could throw his baseball. Just one more of the things that i'm really looking forward to is playing catch with my little guy.

April 9th

BUBBLES, BUBBLES, BUBBLES!!!
I have to admit that i got a little lazy and bought a bubble gun which of course he loved. It made things easier for me and he loved shooting the gun as well.

April 8th

This kid has decided that Pajama's just aren't for him. He likes to sleep in his diaper and doesn't ever want to put clothes on. This morning we sat down on the floor to watch a movie after breakfast. He's so much fun!

He wanted to take and early bath and of course wanted it to be a bubble bath. He always wants to take his cars with him too, he washes them and then puts bubbles all over them and drives them around the edge of the bathtub.

We are trying to teach KJ how to brush his teeth. I will start by doing it for him and then i let him try. He has been getting really good at it and im so happy that he loves doing it.

He loves picking "flowers" he knows that he can't pick Grandma's real flowers so he picks these ones instead, he thinks they are so pretty.

Taking his lawnmower out for a walk. Mowing the lawn is one of my favorite things to do so i hope this little guy loves doing it with me. I look forward to summer when we can take care of it at least once a week together.

He's such a cute kid!

I went and bought a bunch of outside stuff for us to do to get us out of the house more often now that the weather is getting better. We got chalk, bubbles, and all sorts of fun stuff.

Coloring with Cousin Sav!

A Small Peice of Heaven- April 5th and 6th

One of my new favorite things is every night KJ's Mommy and I will facetime so that KJ can say prayers with Mommy and Daddy. I decided to take a couple pictures while we were talking over the weekend. He again is just so wonderful and the first thing he asks when we tell him it's night night time is call Mommy or call Daddy for prayers. He just never ceases to amaze me with how smart and sweet and caring he is.

This will be a long one, I've been lazy...

So it's been awhile and i've been pretty lazy but it is getting to the end of the semester and school has kind of taken over. I have decided that instead of trying to break up every single day that i would just make one big post. Bear with me because i know that there are a lot of pictures but i will try my best to keep it interesting. Here we go...

One morning KJ told me that he wanted to comb my hair. He had me sit on the ground and he stood up on the couch and combed through my hair and then he would tell me that it looked "so pretty" and then he would mess it up and start all over. He loves messing up my hair but today was the first time that he wanted to comb it first and then mess it up.

Oh my gosh this kid loves trains. He wants to play with them pretty much every single day. He wakes up and wants to play with his trains. We have started to try to make the track in different ways to keep it interesting. He liked this one because i made the bridge a little bit longer. We keep trying different things and it makes it fun.

Train Video.

We have started trying to potty train KJ. Sometimes he's on board and sometimes he isn't. For now we just ask him if he wants to try and if he does then we take him in and if he goes then he'll get a treat. So far he has gone pee maybe 5 times and is always very excited when he does it. "Pee pee in the big potty!" He is the sweetest little thing!

More train pictures. He likes to lay down in the middle and drive his train around and around.

Sometimes we like to nap together. He is so sweet because he will just beg me to lay down with him and then he will move over until our foreheads touch and then he will say "love you too Daddy" often times i haven't even said anything but he just tells me twice "love you too Daddy, Love you too" It just melts my heart.

He loves going to the car wash. At first it scares him but while they detail the car he loves to play on the little play cars. It was fun this time because i had to get the leather cleaned so we were there for an extra long time. He's so much fun and so full of energy.

The weather was good enough today that KJ got to play with his lawnmower outside. We probably sat outside for almost an hour. He just loves being outside.

KJ got these garages from Uncle and Aunt J for Christmas. He like to stack them and put the cars in while they are stacked "so high" He is getting pretty good at knowing what order they should be staked so that they are sturdy enough not to fall over. He's such a bright little boy.

So KJ woke up early today and i knew he wasn't ready to get up so i let him lay down with me. I woke up a few hours later because my should hurt so bad and i couldn't figure out why. I realized pretty quickly that it was because the little guy had been laying on it. He will usually just lay on the other side of the bed if he falls asleep with me but it was just so sweet to wake up to him on my shoulder. Its nice to cuddle with him when i can.

This was just a big weekend for KJ! He was able to spend a lot of time at the hospital which he loves because he gets to see the helicopter and today he was able to visit it with Nana Georgia and Aunt Em.

The reason that KJ was able to spend so much time at the hospital was because he got to meet his new cousin! He was so excited to go see baby E and hold him. He was so sweet to him. He would look down at him and say "it's okay baby, it's ok. Shhh baby" He will make such a great big brother some day.

Another picture with new cousin Baby E!

We went on the Train to Salt Lake. I promised him that he would get to spend a day on the choo choo so that's what we did. He was so happy!

He loves playing at the mall. We played on the dinosaurs, and looked at the Fishies. He would spend all day doing those two things if i let him but we had to get back before bed and the trains added a lot of travel time so we were only there for a few hours. I know he is happy for what he gets but it's still so hard to make him leave when he is so happy.

While we were waiting for the trains to come we ran around in the grass outside of Daddy's school. He loved looking at the pretty flowers but he just wanted to run up and down the hills.

Running around outside.

He got a new car while we were at the mall because he had lost his so we replaced it. We were watching Frozen on the way home to keep him awake.

We went shopping with Mommy and while she was trying on clothes we sat down on the floor and read books. He loves to read and his new favorite thing is to point at all of the letters on each page and tell me what they are. He knows all of his letters!! Mr. Smarty Pants!!

Riding the carousel with Mommy

KJ wanted to shoot shoot and Mommy couldn't pass up the chance to shoot a gun, even if it was just a plastic one. They had so much fun...Rednecks and Republicans :)

KJ at the Apple Store trying on headphones.

KJ loves to pray. He wanted to say a prayer before we ate our dinner and wanted me to put my head down all the way down on the table. Such a spiritual little kid.

I came home from a job interview and KJ asked me if i was going to Church. I love that he associates my white shirt and tie with Church. We shared some fruit snacks and celebrated.

KJ went to lunch with Grandma and Aunt H today. First time at Burger Supreme, Very happy boy.

We shared a popsicle and he has a chocolate mustache, it was so cute i decided to take a picture before cleaning it.

We made a pizza together today. He ate more olives from the can than actually made it onto the pizza. Just like any other kid he loves to put them on his fingers and then eat them. He just kept asking me for more and more.

Another day, another popsicle with Daddy.

KJ wanted to go to the mall and ride on the rides today. He was so happy that Daddy actually brought enough money for him to ride on all of them.

He loved the Motorcycle because he got to be just like Grandpa. Look Daddy! Ride cycle like Grandpa!

We also rode the carousel after he did all of the other rides. "Hi horsey, hi!"

Getting ready to watch the Florida Basketball game. Start 'em young Raise 'em right!

When we watch the games KJ just yells "watch basketball Daddy! GO GATORS, GO GO GO!"

Singing Hymns at Church today. He wanted to hold the book and sing all by himself.

Running around outside after Church.

More pictures running around outside in the nice weather.

KJ and Mommy at the mall looking at the fishies. So much fun!

Trying out a Lightening McQueen bike.
