Feb 25th, 26th, and 27th

It seems like KJ's new favorite thing is to play in the sink. He asks pretty much every day after lunch if instead of getting cleaned up with wipes after he's done if he can just clean off in the sink. He just likes playing in the water. Its a lot of fun.

So i have to admit, sometimes i sneak into KJ's room when he's napping just to see how he's doing. I decided that today i would take a picture. He's so cute.

KJ got a new coloring book that has stickers. I made the mistake of showing him how to take the stickers out on his own and now i have to make sure i pay attention or he will take them all out in one sitting. He is so cute though, he will put a few of them on and then decide that he wants different ones but knows that he's only allowed to have a couple at a time so he will take stickers off and put them back in the exact place they came from so that he can get other ones. It's so funny.

The weather was so nice again today so we went outside and Grandma helped KJ clean his lawn mower and then he decided that he needed to "fix" it so he flipped it over and started to work on it. He has such a great imagination, looks like we'll have to get him some tools.

Playing outside with Grandma

KJ and Sav had another coloring day.

KJ found some old bubbles from last summer in the yard and i told him that they were yucky and that we would have to get some new ones so we went to Walmart and found some Lightening McQueen bubbles for him. We had a lot of fun playing with them today.

Today i was laying on the floor so KJ decided that he wanted to sit on me while we watched a movie. Then when he got bored sitting on top of me he laid down on the floor with me and put his head on my shoulder. The best part is that he put his hands behind his head and crossed his legs. What a little stud!

He moved on eventually and laid down by himself.

Rice and cheese for lunch. He sure loves it!

Today it was raining so we had to figure out a way to entertain ourselves. He has so much energy!

Mommy Time

I got this picture of KJ and Mommy getting ready for bed. He's so cute and loves his Mommy.

KJ loves the movie Frozen and always sings "Let it go" He's getting really good at it and actually knows most of the words when he can sing along with the music. His Mommy sent this video to me and you can hear him sing some of it.

Another video. KJ playing with Mommy's new dog. He's pretty funny.

Feb 21st

So KJ thinks that any package that comes in the mail is a "present" for him. He loves opening them weather they are for him or not. Today something came for Grandpa and he got to open it. He wanted to open it a see a car but was happy that we let him open it at all.

We went shopping today and i asked the little guy if he wanted to get hot dogs for lunch and he was so excited so we stopped at J Dawgs and he did really well. He ate about half of his hot dog! Not bad for his first time with such a big hot dog.

The weather was really great today so we went outside so that he could spend some time riding his scooter while it was warm. He loves going outside!

He would push off and put both feet on just like a pro and go down the sidewalk. He fell once but did a pretty good job.

After we got done riding the scooter outside we shared a popsicle. He likes to be the one that holds it but he's very good about sharing with me.

Tonight KJ made cookies with Grandpa. He is so cute when he wants you to pick him up so that he can see what is going on he will walk up to you and say "Daddy, hold you or Grandpa, hold you" He is so cute!

Feb 20th

I always like to start of the morning by taking a picture of KJ. It is just a constant reminder of how blessed i am to have him and he is always very very happy when he wakes up. More often than not i have to sneak a picture when he isn't looking because he is camera shy sometimes but today he let me take this one. He will only look at me long enough to say cheese and then he looks back at whatever he was doing before i bothered him with the picture so i waited until he wasn't moving and then snapped this one. I love him more than anything.

So today we took Aunt H and a few other girls to dance. Now you might be asking what this has to do with the picture but KJ is in love with one of Aunt H's friends, Kenzie. He is so cute and when she is around he is so shy. He wont even talk to her, no matter how much attention she gives him he wont say a word to anyone. Once she got out of the car he was so sad. He said "Daddy, go with Kenzie" I told him that we couldn't because she was dancing and he was very upset that we couldn't follow her so i tried to distract him by telling him to look at the Mountains. Well he decided that he wanted to climb the Mountain and since it was probably the only way to get him from talking about Kenzie, i decided that we could go and try to hike the Y (which i have never done and i've lived in Provo my whole life) This picture is at the gate at the front of the trail.

So i honestly didn't think that we would make it very far because it isn't like playing in the park, it's a pretty steep hike. This little guy didn't want me to carry him or help him at all. He was keeping up with me the whole first part of the hike. I made him hold my hand so that if he slipped or tripped on the rocks, he wouldn't fall all the way down the hill. He surprised me but then again, he surprises me almost every day with how amazing he is.

We got to a point where the sunny never really hits the trail and it was pretty steep and covered with ice so i told him that it was time to ride on Daddy's shoulders. He didn't like the idea of not being able to walk on his own but he decided that it would be ok as long as we could keep going up the mountain.

He is so photogenic. We got some good ones while we walked. He would say his to everyone we passed or that passed us on their way down. He is just such a happy kid. He would see someone and lean down to my ear and say "Daddy, look at the guy or Daddy, look it's a girl." and then when they would pass us he would say "hey dude, hey dude or hey guy" The funny thing is that if it was a girl it was, hey dude. haha. They would always laugh so hard and then he would start laughing.

On our way back down he kept asking me to put him down so that we could take a picture. He would always pick places that we couldn't get to because it was too dangerous but i finally talked him into this spot. He didn't want to sit on a rock though or in a clear space, he wanted to sit on a big plant. I couldn't talk him out of it and decided that it probably didn't hurt anything to just let him sit where he wanted to and while he was enjoying looking at things i got a few pictures. The sun was setting and it was a lot of fun for him to point and tell me what was going on all over the valley. He is so observant.

We had to run to the store to get some things for dinner and of course he wanted to ride in the cart with the car on the front of it so that he could drive. He kept honking at people and saying "beep, beep! Move please or Excuse me!" Like i said, he is so observant...He definitely learned that from his Mommy. She loves to beep beep at people ;)

KJ is always so full of energy! He loves running around and around and in fact he will start running and then say "Come on Daddy! Run around and around, Come on Daddy!" The camera is shaky but it was so much fun!

While we were at the store getting things for dinner we also got some Juice Bars (popsicles) and we shared one after we were all ready for bed. He wanted to hold it but he did a great job of sharing with me.

Feb 19th

KJ loves eating yogurt for breakfast. No matter what i make for him, he will always ask for yogurt. He Knows that he has to eat whatever it is that we are having but after he eats that, he can have yogurt. His favorite is Orange yogurt and he will ask for it every day but when we don't have it, he will eat whatever yogurt he can get his hands on. He is so cute.

This morning he wanted to watch Planes. He goes through fazes with different movies and today it was Planes. He has a coloring book that he got for Christmas that has the magic markers that only work with the coloring book that came with it and it just happens to be a planes theme so he colored while he watched the movie.

I know it is hard to tell what he is dragging behind him but he loves running around pulling his helicopter. It has all kinds of buttons that play music and when you turn the propeller it sounds just like a real helicopter. He spent a good 10 minutes running around and around with it and i just love it when he laughs and laughs while he does it.

Today while i went to class KJ went shopping with Nana and since he was so good they went to Toys R Us to play with some toys. Of course Sav got to go with them. When they first went into the store Nana let him play with the trains and had a hard time getting him to leave them so that they could go look at other things. She promised him that if he would be very obedient for the rest of the shopping trip that she would take him back to the trains so that he could play for a little bit longer and she said that he was just an angel for the rest of the time. Man my little guy is such a good listener and so obedient and for the most part, i can thank his Mommy for that. He's a very lucky little boy to have the Mommy that he does.

On the shopping trip he got to sit in a Mustang,

He got to try riding a bike and a trike

And even got to try a race car bed!

Bath time is always the best time. The little guy wanted to splash me so i started to splash him back and he was just laughing so hard so i splashed him with one hand and took pictures with the other. I love the end of the night because it means we get to play in the water.

Feb 14th Valentines Day

This is what we did to start our day. I think it's very important that the little guy tell his Mommy that he loves her as often as possible and since i had him on Valentines Day i thought it would be good for him to let her know so we made her a video and sent it to her. I love that when i tell him to blow her a kiss he leans forward and kisses the phone, it's all about the real thing for him.

After the fun of making Mommy her video we started our normal roughhousing. KJ is just nonstop and when he gets going we're all in trouble. He would climb up one side and slide down the other but not before climbing all over my head and face. He laughs so hard that it's hard not to laugh with him...even if it hurts my face.

Disney just released The Jungle Book on bluray and of course we had to get it. this was KJ's first time watching it and he loves the part when they Elephants come and sing. He thinks it is so funny and does a pretty good job of saying Jungle Book...well a good job if you know what he is asking for ;)

We decided that we didn't just want to sit at home so we went to Costco. KJ was sitting in the actual seat but then decided that he wanted to move into the cart and i told him that if he could sit down and hold on tight then it would be ok. He did a really good job of sitting and holding up his end of the bargain, such a great kid.

We ended the night with him lounging in the bath. He was in there so long that he decided he didn't want the water to be Orange anymore so we let the water out and changed it to Purple. He loves to act like a Dolphin and jump in and out of the water or play with his fishies. Bath time is always fun time.
