So this past week we went to Disneyland!!! This was KJ's first time and my first time in a very long time. Ive spent the last couple of weeks trying to introduce different characters to get him ready to meet them. I wasn't really sure that he would enjoy being outside all day walking around and only being able to nap in his stroller but he was so excited!
This was KJ's seat in the car. He had a pretty good setup, he had all of his planes, treats, milk, and of course his ipad loaded with movies. In the picture he is watching CARS.
This was at Wendy's on our way to Vegas. KJ and Sav found windows to peek through and see each other which was good they found a way to entertain themselves because we were stuck there for a long time. There was a fugitive that got loose so the police closed the freeway for hours and hours so we got stuck. The delay made the first day a very long one because once we got back on the freeway it was snowing so hard that we had to go very slow so that we didn't get in an accident. As we were driving we saw multiple cars that had flown off the road and others that were flipped over after sliding off of the road so we were very careful.
We finally made it to Vegas where we were spending the night and the little guy was so tired he went right to sleep. He had his own Queen sized bed so he was very happy.
The next morning KJ wanted to help with my suitcase, he was so cute asking to carry it and he did a great job! Very helpful.
Huntington Beach
KJ loved writing his name in the sand. I wrote it for him and he would just walk to different spots and write it again and again. Sav was there supporting him while he wrote his name for the millionth time. They were so cute.
The sun started to set and it was beautiful, KJ was just admiring it.
We had just finished writing his name together and we saw a helicopter, There were a bunch of Blackhawk helicopter's flying back and forth so KJ was in heaven.
This was KJ's favorite thing to do, he would get a handful of sand and want to throw it in the water but it was too cold for him so i would have to carry him just far enough into the water that he could throw the sand. We did this about 20 times and every time it was like the first for him. He was so happy it was very hard to make him leave.
Another picture of KJ looking at the sun as it set.
He had to keep his hood on because the wind was so strong and coming off of the water so it was pretty chilly. He was just so happy to be there though, we'll have to go back. He keeps asking about the beach and the sand and water.
My aunt and niece joined us because they live in LA and she brought all of her beach toys. KJ was loving using the shovel to fill up the bucket with sand and then playing touchdown (football) with his uncles.
Disneyland and California Adventure
CARS LAND!!! KJ's favorite movies are Cars and Cars 2 so we spent a long time in cars land. This little guy loved meeting Mater and Lightening! He was so excited at one point that he was running to meet lightening he fell and hit his head on the road, poor little guy had a lump for a couple of days but that didn't stop him from enjoying every minute of the vacation.
This was right outside of Mater's ride. These are the "cows" from the movies
Every 20 mins Lightening and Mater would trade spots and they would drive down the street so i timed it just right and set KJ up right where Lightening would have to drive. He was so excited and was waiving to him and saying hi! Ive never seen him so happy.
Red was a little bit harder to meet. He only comes out every 4-6 hours and is only there for a few minutes. We had to ask around for a long time to find out just when to be there. KJ was actually napping when Red came out but started to wake up just in time to see him. He love firetrucks!
We were in the right place at the right time. Tigger is my absolute favorite and i'm so glad that KJ loved him too! This Picture melts my heart.
We took this picture together. Tigger was so great with KJ and i am so glad we got some good pictures with him.
KJ and Sav wanted to take pictures together. They were so cute with him.
KJ and Eeyore sharing some loves.
Nap time! KJ was so great but he needed his naps to stay fresh. Im sure it was very hard for him to sleep in his stroller because he likes to move around but he took 1 very good nap each day. I think that the weather being a little bit cooler helped him sleep.
KJ loved the Carousel! We had to do it multiple times and all of the different ones that they had between the two parks. It was his favorite
Just another Carousel but his time with Uncle C and Aunt A and cousin Sav. This one was riding on Fish's
KJ found a car. He loves driving cars.
This was on Dumbo's ride. They would give you a feather which is what KJ is showing us right now. He loved going high because the Dumbo ride you can go up and down. Man this boy loved every ride and wanted to go over and over.
KJ wanted to feed the ducks that were playing next to the Dumbo ride. He was telling the duck to jump into the water.
KJ's two favorite rides were BUZZ and Little Mermaid. He loved Buzz because you had to Shoot the Aliens. At the end of the ride he would say "no Daddy! again again!" He didn't like waiting in line but wanted to go over and over. He was so happy when i told him we could go again.
At the end of the night we watched the Fireworks over Cinderella's Castle. This little guy loves the Fireworks.
Waiting in line for Mater. This was the first thing we had to do when we got to the park on the second day. He sure loved Cars Land
Lunch at Flo's Cafe in Cars Land. He loved the grapes and apples and Macaroni and Cheese but i had to eat his peas and carrots.
This was the Ferris Wheel. It was a little cold so at first he didn't like the wind but he loved that we were going over the water and he could see everything.
Planes!! KJ loves Planes and so while everyone was riding Soarin over California we stayed outside and looked at the planes. You could never tell by the look on his face but i think this was one of the things he loved the most.
We had to meet Rella because she is Mommy's favorite. I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself if he didn't meet Mommy's favorite character while he was at Disneyland for the first time. He was so sweet to her and she was obviously so sweet with him. Worth the long wait!
Thank you Mom and Dad or NaNa and Pop Pop for taking all of us to Disneyland! It was such an amazing experience!

This was the day we got back. I was so blessed to have this little guy for a week and do so many fun things. It's going to be a hard week without him. One of my favorite things from the trip was on the drive down. KJ was so tired because he had gotten stuck for so long and he had just fallen asleep when he woke up and said "Daddy, Daddy! Hold hands please" This was the sweetest thing, my little guy was so tired and worn out from the extra long day and he knew i couldn't hold him so he asked to hold my hand while i was driving. It only took a minute for him to fall back asleep but for that minute, i was in heaven.
