Middle of July

We went to dinner with Grandpa's Singles Ward and outside of the restaurant there was a tractor. This little guy walked around it like 12 times just looking and talking about it. He is such a boy and loves tractors and trucks. He's so much fun!

7/11 Day!!! Free Slurpee's for everyone. These two had so much fun and of course they loved their free Slurpee's.

Reading "There's a Nightmare in my closet" with Grandpa. I think he asked him to read it 3 or 4 times and of course Grandpa complied. He always finds a way to keep from having to go to bed right when he's supposed to, Smart boy.

Hike to Stuart Falls

Riding the lift to the top of the mountain.

Taking a break on the trail to eat an Apple and drink lots of water.

I carried the little guy on my shoulders the whole hike, a little more than 5 miles. I guess i really underestimated how far of a hike in the blazing sun it really was. He was covering his ears because he saw a bee and he thought that by covering his ears that meant the bee couldn't get him. He's so much fun and comes up with the best ways to stay safe. There were a few times where i stumbled and almost fell and he just kept saying "You're doing so good Daddy" "You're okay Daddy" "You're so tough Daddy" He is so sweet and caring. He was very worried about me and kept encouraging me to keep going. I think that the heat really got to him because on the way down he almost fell asleep multiple times.

He loves throwing rocks into the water. He would throw them in and then he would get into the water and throw them back out and he kept doing that. We spent about 30 minutes just throwing rock in and out of the water. He was so excited to be there and we had so much fun eating our sandwiches and apples and playing with the rocks. As hard as it was to carry him, i wouldn't trade it for anything. He was so happy and that makes me happy!

About a week before this little guy was born his Mommy was sick of carrying him around in her belly and someone told us to go and hike up Sundance because the elevation would help her go into labor. We did it and we took a picture together standing in the same place that KJ and i took this picture. I told him the story, i doubt he understood it but he liked being able to take a picture in the same place that Mommy and Daddy did with him before he was born.

This is what my legs and feel looked like when we got back. So gross! I hate feet but i had to share.

Dinner with cousin Savvy!

Taking pictures with Aunt H. Grandpa has access to all of the new cool Apps that Adobe has before they actually come out. This App can change pictures to look like oil paintings!
